A Little Light Work

Photographing a lightbulb offers some unique challenges.  You treat the bulb as you would a glass the bulb is hung in front of a black card.  It is then lit from behind the card and two white panels: one either side are used as reflectors. These reflectors can be moved forwards or backwards to adjust the relection and rim light on the bulb.  The element is created with a second piece of black card which is then cut to the shape of the bulb and the elementis cut out   A piece of coloured gel is attached to to back of this card to add the colour
